100% Catto PhD Scholarship At University Of Edinburgh, Scotland

The Centre of African Studies, University of Edinburgh is offering scholarships to individuals who wants to pursue a PhD program at the Institution.

The scholarship will cover tuition fees, two return flights from the applicant’s home country, and a monthly stipend (£1,200 a month) and is tenable for 3 years.

Eligible Countries: African countries

Eligibility: To be eligible for this scholarship program, applicants must:

  • be citizens and residents of an African Country.
  • have completed their bachelors and masters degree program.
  • have already received an offer (conditional or unconditional) onto the PhD in African Studies programme
  • have good academic records

How To Apply: Interested applicants will need to e-mail an updated CV and a cover letter to the Postgraduate Adviser for the PhD in African Studies: [email protected]

Please add ‘Catto PhD scholarship application’ to the subject line, and ensure the e-mail is sent by 1st May 2017.

The cover letter should be no longer than two pages, and should provide:

i) an exhaustive explanation of the proposed research project;

ii) a demonstration of the candidate’s additional leadership potential;

iii) how the candidate intends to maximize the impact and benefits of their doctoral research project in their country of origin.
