The University of Queensland Earmark Scholarship will cover the full cost of tuition fees and will also provide a monthly stipend of $33,641 per annum for successful students.
The Earmarked scholarships are funded by the Australian Government to assist eligible PhD students with their living costs and tuition fees. The scholarships are available to both international and domestic students to undertake a PhD study at the University of Queensland
The Earmarked scholarships are offered for research projects aligned with recently awarded Category 1 Research Grants. They offer PhD students the opportunity to work with leading researchers and contribute to large projects of national significance.

- The award covers the full tuition fees of successful candidates and will provide a living stipend of $33,641 per annum tax free (reviewed annually) for 3.5 years
- The scholarship also covers the health insurance of selected beneficiaries

Eligibility: To be considered for this Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria;
- meet the University of Queensland’s minimum entry into entry requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
- Be a domestic (Australian) or an international student
- meet the specific requirements of the project you are applying for.
