2025 United Nations FAO-Hungarian Government Fully Funded Scholarship

This scholarship programme, established through an agreement between FAO and Hungary in 2007, offers fully funded Master of Science degree opportunities for eligible students from Africa and other specific countries. The scholarship supports candidates pursuing Master’s degrees in Aquaculture and Animal Husbandry Engineering at Hungarian universities. It covers tuition, accommodation, subsistence, and health insurance.

Africa: Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Madagascar, Mali, Namibia, Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Uganda.
Asia: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Mongolia, Myanmar, North Korea, Philippines, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen.
Europe and Central Asia: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine.
Middle East: Palestine.
Eligible Fields: Master in Aquaculture
Offered at: Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Szent István Campus, Gödöllő.
Master in Animal Husbandry Engineering
Offered at: University of Debrecen, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management, Debrecen.
Eligible Countries: All Countries
