Students from developing countries are invited to apply for the US Wells Mountain Initiative Announces The 2025 Scholarship (WMI) For Students from Developing Countries offering $1,500 funding. The WMI Scholarship supports students from developing countries pursuing their first bachelor’s degree or diploma in fields benefiting their communities. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, a commitment to community service, and plans to work in their home country after graduation. The program prioritizes studies within the developing world and excludes those studying in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, or Western Europe.

Value: the benefits include:
-Scholarships cover tuition and fees, books and course materials/supplies, accommodation and meals, and transportation.
-Scholarships support students earning their first tertiary certificate, diploma, or bachelor’s degree.
-Scholarship awards are renewable throughout all years of undergraduate education, provided the awardee meets ongoing support criteria.
-A maximum scholarship of $3,000 USD per year is available, with an average scholarship amount of $1,500 USD.

Eligibility: to apply you must meet the following criteria:
-May have some other funds available for his or her education, but will not be able to pursue his or her tertiary degree without financial assistance
-Completed secondary education, with good to excellent grades
-Is 35 or under on March 1, 2025
-Will be studying in his or her country or another country in the developing world*
-Is pursuing his or her first bachelor’s degree or diploma
-Will be enrolled in a program of study that will benefit the community and/or contribute to the continued growth and advancement of his or her home country 
-Plans to live and work in his or her own country after graduation
-Has demonstrated his or her commitment to giving back and has volunteered prior to applying
