Pandemic Research Scholarships at University of Warwick – UK, 2021

The University of Warwick – UK is recruiting their first Institute for Global Pandemic Planning cohort of doctoral students to start in October 2021 on a four year funded PhD programme. The programme will include participation in relevant post-graduate taught courses and development or refining of a research project, followed by full time research to complete that project.

Value of Award:

  • The studentships are funded by donors to cover a student stipend (currently £15,285 per year), university fees (national and international level). and a Research and Training Support Grant of £5,000.
  • The Wellcome-Warwick Quantitative Biomedicine Programme will additionally support laboratory costs up to £10,000 for students involved in laboratory work.
  • Each student will have supervision from senior academics in at least two of the main disciplines of the centre and across two university departments. Students will share research space to support the cohort in learning together. Please follow the link from below for more details.

Eligibility: The application form includes the opportunity to upload a curriculum vitae and a personal statement. The personal statement should explain why you are interested in a research studentship undertaking research to support global pandemic planning as well as any aspects of yourself that you want to highlight.
