2021 Benefactors’ International Scholarship at Sophia University – Japan

Sophia University is offering a full-tuition fee of the first year of study of the undertaken undergraduate or graduate programme at the Institution.

This scholarship is intended to contribute to human resources development by supporting students with financial hardship who consider our university as their first choice and find it difficult to study here due to financial problems despite having excellent grades.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be new international students at Sophia.
  • Applicants must have a Grade Point Average of B (3.0) or better in the standard 4-level rating system or equivalent.
  • Applicants must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
    • TOEFL IBT – 79
    • TOEFL PBT – 550
    • IELTS – 6.5
    • TOEIC – 730

How to Apply: Applicants can apply through the university portal that opens in August. The applicants need to fill an application form.
