LEAP Leadership Accelerator Programme for Young African Women

The Leadership Accelerator Programme for Young African Women is an eight weeks Programme for young African women (between the ages of 21 to 35 years) aspiring to reach leadership positions in their various organizations/career fields. It is a hybrid capacity-building program that responds to the women leadership gap on the African continent.

This certificate positions young women who are in their early or mid-career to recognize when there is a gender dimension at work and how they can out-strategize gender bias and their own habits to take up leadership positions and achieve better results.

The Program seeks to accelerate young capacity for Leadership by;

  • Equipping and Enlightening participants through Expert-led Leadership Acceleration Sessions
  • Supporting Young Women Leadership through Sponsorship and Professional Externship in leading Organizations
  • Emphasizing Female Leadership through targeted campaigns and advocacy

Who Should Enroll

  • Young African women within the age of 21 to 35
  • Young African women in their early or mid career currently working in an organization

Programme Selection Process

  1. Organizations nominate female employee that meet required criteria
  2. Nominated participants fill and submit programme application form
  3. Nominating organization make payment of 100,000 Naira only for each participants
  4. Acceptance and Onboarding into the programme

How It Works

Total Programme duration: 8 weeks

Course length: 5 weeks

Externship: 2 physical externship session

Time requirement: 2-3 hours per week

Class size: Under 20 participants

Format: 100% live class sessions and physical externship
