Stipendium Hungaricum International Scholarships at University of Debrecen, Hungary – 2023

The Hungarian government provides the Stipendium Hungaricum academic scholarship for international students. 
Stipendium Hungaricum full scholarship includes:

  • Free tuition for the entire duration of studies.
  • Monthly grant for students of Bachelor, Master or PhD program.
  • Contribution to accommodation
  • Free medical insurance for the entire duration of a BSc, MSc or PhD program.

With the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship, you can study at the University of Debrecen for free.

Type: Undergraduate, Masters, and PhD

Value of Award: 

  • Free tuition for the entire duration of studies, no application or exam fee 
  • Monthly grant for students of Bachelor, Master or PhD program (the amount will not cover all your expenses in Hungary, it is only a contribution to your living expenses in Hungary)
  • Contribution to accommodation
  • Free medical insurance for the entire duration of a BSc, MSc or PhD program
  • You may work part-time as a student (max. 30hrs a week), but you will not earn a full living wage

Eligibility:

  • Applicants have to enroll in the degree programme at the university.
  • Applicants must have a previous degree certificate with relevant marks.
  • Applicants must have to submit TOEFL, IELTS and other test results to demonstrate their proficiency in English.

How to Apply: To be enlisted in the programme, students are required to enroll in the degree programme at the university. Complete the online application form.
