Laurentian University Scholarships are offered to home and international students seeking to study in Canada. The scholarships at Laurentian University are offered to both undergraduate and postgraduate students pursuing degree programs at the institution. Undergraduate scholarships are valued up to $60,000 to support the cost of tuition while postgraduate scholarships are offered as assistantships and fellowships.

Eligibility

To be considered for the Laurentian University Scholarship Canada, you must:

  • Meet your country-specific requirements, the faculty requirements for your chosen program, and language requirements.
  • For Nigerians, you will need to have a verifiable WASSCE results with C4 or higher grades, and English certificate is exempted.
  • Students with a prior degree are not eligible for the Laurentian University International Academic Excellence Scholarships.

  • To renew the scholarship, students must have studied full-time in the previous academic year (30 credits – of which 24 credits must have been taken in the Fall/Winter term) – (the academic year is defined as May to April of each year for scholarship purposes) and attained a minimum average of 80% (GPA = 7.5).

    The Laurentine International Student Scholarships are up to $60,000 for academic achievement!

    • Undergraduate students are awarded up to $60,000 renewable at $15,000 per year upon satisfactory performance.

    Graduate Scholarships

    • Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTAs) are available to qualified full-time International or Domestic students who meet the minimum average.
    • The awards are designated partially as employment and partially as a Fellowship.
    • The 2025-2026 value of the GTA is $10,034 for M.Sc. students and $14,547 for Ph.D. students.
