2017 Hansen Summer Institute On Leadership And International Cooperation – US

We are pleased to announce to you that applications are currently going on for the 2017 Hansen Summer Institute On Leadership And International Cooperation programme which will take place in United States of America.

This program will take place from June 30th – July 25 2017 at the University of San-Diego School of leadership and educational sciences (SOLES), USA.

This program is provided on creating an atmosphere of international young scholars coming together to use their summer experiences as a means of creating a long-lasting friendship and practical environment of a peaceful future.

So many thing will be taught during this program, there will be public speaking, team building, training, negotiations, meditations and working together to solve international problems. Also excursions will take place at different locations.

This program is full funded by Fred J. Hansen Foundation.

Benefits:

Selected participants will receive the following:

  • Accommodations and meals during the program
  • Program materials
  • Transportation to and fro (From Campus to meeting points)
  • Certificate of participation.

US participants also receive the following:

  • $1000 award for completing the program
  • Round trip domestic air travel from participants home to San-Diego (economy class)

Non- US participants gets the following:

  • Round trip international air travel from participants country to San-Diego.
  • Health insurance for the duration of program.
  • DS-2019 student and exchange visitor fee (SEVIS)

Eligibility:

Applicants must be able to demonstrate leadership qualities and having worked outside of class in community services or public service or non- governmental organization. A letter of reference from such a group is required.

Participants from USA must:

  • Be between the ages of 20 – 25 years
  • Be an Upper division undergraduate student who has interest in international relations, diplomacy or related fields.

Non- US Participants must:

  • Be between the ages of 20 – 25 years
  • Be an Upper division undergraduate student who has interest in international relations, diplomacy or related fields.
  • Have a valid international passport.
  • Have an academic adviser verify in writing the candidates English proficiency.
