Nikon small world competition is a means to award and recognize young talented photomicrographers who involves with photography through light microscope.
During this contest, the top 20 will be selected and ranked by judges.
The top 20 winners gets the following prizes:
- 1st winner – $3,000
- 2nd winner – $2,000
- 3rd winner – $1,000
- 4th winner – $800
- 5th winner – $600
- 6th winner – $400
- 7th – 10th winners – $300 each
- 11th – 20th winners – $200 each
- Honorable mentions – $100
- Images of Distinction – Nikon Backpack
The first three winners will be paid in check while the rest will be paid with visa card.

Eligibility: To be eligible for this competition, applicants must:
- Be international talented photomicrographers.
- Be above 18years of age.
How To Apply: Interested and eligible applicants must set up a small world entry account to help create a contestant profile which you will use to upload your images and view your entries.

You can upload you images digitally. The maximum file is 100mb or For images on film, a 35mm mounted transparency is accepted.
Each applicant must submit three images for judging.
