This opportunity is especially for undergraduate students enrolled in accredited public universities across Nigeria and entering Level 200 with a CGPA of at least 2.5.

The West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited Scholarships aims to provide assistance to the young generation of Nigeria and is pleased to present the 2023/2024 Academic Scholarship opportunity tailored for Nigerian undergraduate students.

West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) is a limited liability company that owns and operates the West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP).

The company’s headquarters is located in Accra, Ghana, with a branch office in Ikeja, Nigeria and field offices in Badagry – Nigeria, Cotonou – Benin, Lomé – Togo, Tema and Takoradi in Ghana.

Value of Award: N100,000 – N200,000

Eligible Countries: Nigeria

Eligibility: To be considered for the West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited Scholarships ensure that you meet all the stipulated criteria:

  1. Nationality: Must be a Nigerian.
  2. Community Affiliation: Reside or hail from one of the WAPCo’s Host Communities.
  3. Educational Enrolment: Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited public university in Nigeria.
  4. Academic Standing: Applicants should be in Level 200 at the commencement of the 2023-2024 academic year.
  5. Academic Performance: Maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5.

Method of Selection

  • Interviews: WAPCo will conduct interviews for all eligible applicants. Specific details regarding the interview such as date, time, and venue will be communicated to each individual applicant in due course.
  • Notification: Applicants who navigate the selection process successfully and are chosen for the scholarship will be informed in writing.

How To Apply:

Online Application: Prospective scholars can apply online by filling out the application form.

Community Registration: Additionally, applicants must register with their local Community Representatives. These representatives are tasked with providing WAPCo with official identification letters, which should be either:

  • Endorsed and signed by the Paramount Ruler of the Community, or
  • Authenticated by the Chairman of the respective Community Development Association (CDA), if applicable.
