EMOTION an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Program funded by the European Commission that educates the future generation of translational scientists in the skin health & care sector. It is open to motivated and bright students that want undertake a career in R&D, contributing to the conception and development of innovative dermatological drugs, cosmetics and medical devices for skin well-being.
The EMOTION/Erasmus Mundus Joint Program is of three kinds of applicants:
- Erasmus+ scholarship applicants: Students with Erasmus+ Scholarship receive a scholarship of 1.400 euros per month for 24 months.They do not have to pay participation costs. Their health insurance, university registration and student services are covered. Scholarship holders are required to cover the cost of mobility (e.g. travel, visa, residence permit fees) according to the obligatory EMOTION mobility path from their monthly scholarships. There are no additional payments for travel and installation.
- Non-fee paying self-funded applicants: Their health insurance, university registration and student services are covered. They have instead to cover their living, housing and travel costs, including accommodation and travel costs according to the mandatory EMOTION mobility path.
- Fee paying self-funded applicants: The participation costs are € 4,500 per academic year (€ 9,000 in total). They include health insurance, university registration and student services. They do not include costs for living, housing and travel, including accommodation and travel costs related to the mandatory EMOTION mobility path.

Eligibility:
- For extra-EU applicants, candidates are responsible to meet the visa requirements for the countries in which each host institution is located, although the Masters’ secretariat will provide advice.
- A Bachelor degree (or higher degree) from a recognized academic higher education Institution* (equivalent to a European undergraduate degree of 180 ECTS) in a field related to the Programme area with a background in both biology and chemistry (Pharmacy, Medicine, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, and degree judged as equivalent). The grade average of the previous study should prove high qualification of the applicant.
- The proof of English proficiency documented by an internationally recognized certificate (at least level B2) – for non-native speakers of English only
