2023 Chinese Government Scholarship at Harbin Institute of Technology – China

The Chinese Government is offering the Harbin Institute of Technology Scholarship to students who want to study in China. This is a fully funded scholarships for master’s and doctoral programs. The HIT scholarship for international students will cover all the expenses of the selected candidates.

Application Deadline:
  • Deadline for Early Action Application: December 20th, 2022
  • Deadline for Regular Application: February 18th, 2023

Type: Master’s & Doctoral Degree Program

Value of Award:

  • CSC scholarship covers the full tuition fee.
  • The accommodation fee will be covered
  • Exempt from the registration fee
  • Medical insurance of up to 800 RMB annually will be provided.
  • The monthly stipend will be provided to the Master’s degree candidate of up to 3,000 RMB
  • The monthly stipend will be provided to Doctoral degree candidate of up to 3,500 RMB

Duration of Award:

  • Master’s Scholarship in China: 2-3 Years
  • PhD Scholarship in China: 4-5 Years

Eligibility: To be eligible, you must;

  1. Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health both mentally and physically;
  2. Be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for a master’s degree program;
  3. Be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for a doctoral degree program;
  4. Have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level-4 when applying for a Chinese-taught master’s or doctoral degree program;
  5. Hold minimum requirements set by HIT in academic ability, language proficiency and other relevant criteria.

How to Apply: You are advised to register yourself first through the CSC Scholarship Application system.

Required Document:
  • Academic Transcripts.
  • Highest full-time study Diploma.
  • A Study research plan. (800 words limit)
  • 2 Recommendation letters.
  • Passport Copy
  • Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
  • No criminal record certificate
  • English Proficiency Test Certificate
