The International Gertrude Ardagh Holmes Bursary Fund shall be for the purpose of assisting students of ability and good character to commence or to continue their studies at the University of Canterbury, who would otherwise by reason of their financial circumstances be unable to do so or be seriously handicapped in doing so.
