PTDF Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme Application, 2026/2027

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) has officially invited qualified Nigerians to apply for its 2026/2027 Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme (OSS). This prestigious program is aimed at developing indigenous manpower and enhancing technical capacity within the Nigerian oil and gas industry.

​The scholarship offers comprehensive funding, covering tuition fees, flight tickets, health insurance, bench fees (where applicable), and living expenses for successful candidates.

​Scholarship Categories and Destinations

​The restructured scheme provides opportunities for both Master’s (MSc) and Doctorate (PhD) degrees across several international locations:

​MSc Scholarships: Available for study in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Malaysia.

​PhD Scholarships (General): Full funding is available for programmes in Germany, France, and Malaysia.

​PhD Scholarships (United Kingdom): PhDs for the UK are now offered exclusively as a Split-Site Programme. This is conducted at the PTDF College of Petroleum & Energy Studies (CPESK) in Kaduna, in collaboration with three partner UK universities:

​Eligibility and Requirements

​The PTDF is seeking Nigerian graduates who possess a proven record of academic distinction. Applicants must be pursuing degrees in fields specifically relevant to the oil and gas sector.
