The Department of Biology at the University of Copenhagen has announced a fully funded PhD Fellowship in Microbiology. The fellowship will focus on a state-of-the-art project that examines the molecular “arms race” that occurs between bacteriophages and their bacterial hosts.

Eligibility: 

Applicants must have:

  • Master’s degree (or expected to finish by start date) in a relevant field (Microbiology, Molecular  Biology, Biochemistry, etc.)
  • Strong wet-lab skills (e.g., molecular cloning, microbial culture)
  • Solid foundation in phage biology, bacterial stress responses, and molecular microbiology
