Les Margaret STEM Awards is women and young girls making a difference in the tech world to present their ideas and compete for prizes across six categories.

Les Margaret Awards reward every year European, African and Canadian women entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, whose projects and innovation meet the major challenges of our society.

The Les Margaret Awards aims to reduce gender inequality in tech. We have strong values of progress and inclusion, which you share. As a Margaret, applicants will be a conduit for these messages and commit to taking them to the community, network and media at every opportunity.

The application must be submitted exclusively by a woman who is the founder or co-founder of an innovative company, for the “Entrepreneur” category, an employee of a company who has developed a project in agreement with her employer, while remaining an employee, for the “Intrapreneur” category, or a young girl aged between 7 and 18 for the “Junior” category.

Value & Duration of Award: €1 Million

  • The winners will benefit from JFD’s growth acceleration programme for one year, in collaboration with its partners. 
  • JFD integrates les Margaret Award winners into its communications strategy and provides them with €1m worth of media exposure for one year.

Eligible Countries: European, African and Canada Countries

Eligibility: To be considered for the Les Margaret Awards, applicants must be:

  • a female founder or co-founder of a tech startup for the “Entrepreneur” category.
  • have developed an innovative project in agreement with your employer while remaining an employee for the “Intrapreneur” category.
  • a young woman under 18 with a project that highlights your creative, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, for the “Junior” category.
  • a citizen of a European, African country, or from Canada, your project is innovative and respond to societal issues.
