University of Gottingen DAAD Scholarship 2026, Germany

The University of Gottingen DAAD Scholarship is one of DAAD’s Development-Related Postgraduate Programmes (EPOS) for students from developing countries. The DAAD EPOS Scholarship at the University of Gottingen is a tuition-free Masters program. It provides a stipend of €11,208 per year, a travel allowance, accommodation support, and stipends for accompanying family members.

Eligibility: 

• You need to fulfill all the general programme requirements for the MSc Development Economics as outlined here.
• Additionally, you need to fulfill all the eligibility criteria required by the DAAD as outlined on the corresponding DAAD website.

Duration of the funding

• 12 to 42 months (dependent on study programme)

Value

• Depending on academic level, monthly payments of 934 euros for graduates or 1,300 euros for doctoral candidates
• Payments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover
• Travel allowance, unless these expenses are covered by the home country or another source of funding

Under certain circumstances, scholarship holders may receive the following additional benefits:

• Monthly rent subsidy
• Monthly allowance for accompanying members of family
